Senior Software Developer
Fairfax Marketplaces is a newly created division of Fairfax Media, and comprises some of Australia's best-known digital classifieds and transactions businesses, including Domain, MyCareer, Drive, RSVP, Stayz, InvestSmart, OMG and Australian Property Monitors, as well as the recently acquired TenderLink and Occupancy businesses.
We are looking for a Senior Software Developer to join our RSVP team to not only to work on Javatechnology but be part of the software development leadership team.
- Do you have 5+ years commercial Java experience?

You will be building ground-breakingnew products for RSVP.com.au, the #1 dating website in Australia. You will also have the opportunity to work on Smycareer.com.au the #1 travel website in Australia. You will work closely with business stakeholders to help create innovative products that will be used by a significant percentage of the Australian population.
You will be a talented technologist working within a high-performing team, with a passion for producing excellent work in the online space. While positive attitude, strong ability and a thirst for new knowledge are the most important parts of the role, your skills will also include:
- Excellent communication skills
- Java (to1.6), Tomcat, Struts2, Hibernate
- SQL/JDBC (Oracle,SQLServer or MySQL)
- Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
- Demonstrated ability to contribute and excel in a team environment
- Coach and mentor members of the team and support management in team leadership
