My client is at the forefront of online & mobile video streaming technology. Due to solid growth & a strong leadership team they are now in a position to add a talented Video Streaming Solution Architect/Team leader to the team who can help drive projects and mentor the team of developers.

I am looking for an experienced SolutionArchitect/Team Leader who will become the go to person on the projects and eventually become the successor to the CTO. The team is responsible for all online & mobile video streaming including Live Event Streaming, Sports, Games, Corporate Solutions and Movies for Media/Broadcast companies, corporate solutions and Government/Education sector.

You will be responsible for the Architecture & Design of complex online, mobile & SaaS solutions, leading & mentoring ????? ????? (code reviews etc) and driving the projects through to completion.

You will have expertise in the architecture, design and implementation of Video Streaming solutions or large scale Mobile or Cloud/SaaS solutions. Ideally you will come from a Telco, Online or Mobile Media & Entertainment background e.g. Telstra (T-Box), ABC (iView), BigPond, Fairfax Digital, Ninemsn etc and have a comprehensive awareness Video Streaming technologies and video encoding and transmission technologies (H.263/H.264, MPEG and Real Media). You will have a scalable approach to software and an understanding of frameworks like Hadoop orMapReduce,running applications on large clusters of commodity hardware. Any experience with SOA, Java, MySQL, HTML, CSS etc will be highly advantageous but no essential as my client is renowned for training & developing their staff.
