Desktop Engineer, 3m contract, $30 - $45/hr, CBD Location

My Client currently has a project on the go setting up a brand new infrastructuredepartment for one of their Financial Services Clients.

My Client is a Global IT Services company with offices spanning across 4 continents. They service a number of Tier 1 companies and hold a prestigious reputation in the market.

The role initially is required to be involved with this project and provide a well rounded approach in setting up a new server and network environment. The role will then transition into an Operations and you will be involved in Projects when they come up.

They are looking for someone with the following skills:

• Knowledge of workstation configurations for Active Directory
• Troubleshooting and problem solving hardware, operating system and application issues.
• Professional attitude in completing tasks, working within a team,
  liaising with company stakeholders and attention to detail
• Act as the main technical contact for regional and corporate project
  teams
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues on-site and remotely
• Manage technical escalations through to completion.
• Ability to work on weekends and afterhours during ????? ????? of the
  project.
• A positive "can do" attitude and keen willingness to learn.

As well as the above skills, consulting experience is preferred and strong communication skills as you will be liaising with overseas locations via video conferences to ensure all the various teams are working in sync.

The preferred candidate will have around 5 years experience in working in Desktop Environments and be very proficient working in Windows/Microsoft environments.

There will be an element of travel involved in the role with occasional trips to overseas offices.
