Hardware Installation Engineer/Medical Imaging Systems Great salary and benefits package On site installations throughout Australasia Sydney/Melbourne/Brisbane HARDWARE INSTALLATION ENGINEER World leader in Medical Imaging is looking for a Hardware Installation Engineer to work on customer sites throughout Australia and New Zealand. You will be required to provide highly visible customer support through the performance of on-site installation, as well as overseeing any necessary diagnoses, troubleshooting, service and repair of complex equipment and systems. This is a hands on role which will require approximately 80% of time travelling throughout Australasia to work on customer sites. You will be client facing so excellent communication skills and presentation will be important. Although the company is based in Sydney, the opportunity could suit someone from either Sydney/Brisbane or Melbourne. Major responsibilities: Installs and upgrades a wide range of complex and advanced company products according to technical documentation and company guidelines to ensure that customer's equipment operates efficiently Demonstrates equipment operation and specification to customers in accordance with Customer Acceptance Procedure (CAP) Educates customers in systems maintenance and in basic operation of the company's products. Performs parts inventory and ordering ????? ????? installation, including replenishing spare parts kit, short shipment and return consigned parts appropriately and in a timely manner per procedure as necessary for each install. Maintains technical documentation regarding operating characteristics, design factors, technical performance and development of products to improve installation efficiency. Provides feedback on all activities. Assists in the development of new installation techniques and the writing of installation documentation. Serves as company liaison with customer on administrative and technical matters for assigned projects. Interprets customers' needs and clarifies if the responsibility for problem resolution falls to sales personnel, customer support reps, or engineers. This job may include any aspect of field support, and is not limited to system hardware and software, PCs, and networking/wireless networking. Maintains a high degree of professional knowledge and safety consciousness. Stays informed about and in touch with other Oncology Systems products. Continuously follow / attend training to keep in touch with arising new technologies / platforms. Education / Experience: Knowledge Excellent understanding of customers and their requirements Sound understanding and application of business procedures Expert product and industry knowledge. Sound knowledge of processes and methods used in product areas such as product specification, product developments / expansions and product security and safety Expert professional experience of electronic and electro-mechanical engineering, testing equipment used for verification, checkout and calibration of products Minimum qualifications and experience requirements Degree/diploma in electronics and / or information technology, engineering ????? ????? fields, or equivalent practical experience. Must have experience in customer service environment and have a passion for strong customer service Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Requires no direct supervision. Must demonstrate maturity and be tactful.
