PHP Programmer

 

  • Federal Government Department

  • Initial 6month contract with possible extension

  • Role is based in Canberra
  • This large Federal Government Department based in Canberrais looking for a PHP programming language developer, for an initial 6 month contract with possible extension. It is desirable for the candidate to have Drupal Web Content Management System experience within a Microsoft environment.

    In this role you will:
    • Develop an effective new web based solution for the current Job Access web site using the PHP programming language and Drupal Web Content Management System - the development to be consistent with the Web Content Accessibility (WCAG) 2.0, AAA standard.
    • Ensure compliance with the Departments web framework and standards.
    • Facilitate requirements definition, design and the development of supporting documentation for web solutions.

    In order to be considered for this role you must have the following skills/experience:
    • Strong experience/expertise in building and maintaining websites using the PHP programming language.
    • Experience with team-based web development practices such as Agile methodologies and source control.
    • Experience or understanding of release management.
    • Ability and willingness to transfer knowledge to less experienced staff.
