Sales Manager - Wholesale Telecommunications

  • This is an exciting leadership role for a Sales Manager who is looking to undertake the next step in their career. There is a clear path for further promotion from this role.

    Our client is a leading telecommunications carrier that offers a fulll suite of products and services to all market sectors. They have a significant presence in the wholesale telecommunications space - and this has evolved to more complex solutions around hosting and cloud.

    Position description:

    • Build, develop and manage the Wholesale sales team with responsibility for leading the team to achieve sales targets.
    • Assist the sales team to identify new opportunities within the target market and ensure they are best positioned to respond to customer requirements to secure further business.
    • Develop strategies and action plans to expand the scope and revenue generated from existing business relationships.
    • Be the first contact point for team and customer escalations.
    • Ensure there is good management cross coverage for existing and new accounts.

    Skills and Experience required:

    • Experience in sales leadership with a successful track record of growth and achievement of targets.
    • Telecommunications experience - wholesale experience is ideal but not essential.
    • Experience in the sale of complex solutions such as software solution selling, cloud, hosting etc
    • Good industry knowledge with strategic vision
    • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor staff
    • Adept at client negotiation, bid and tender presentations.
    • Good knowledge of sales process and methodology
    • Sound financial skills
    • A decisive leader with gravitas who is able to move to the next level of management.
