Must have strong Vendor Management & Resource Management skills

Strong grasp of technology change projects preferred

My client is a global organisation with a HQ based in Sydney. With a big investment in their IT underway they are about to embark on a high profile SAP implementation. Because of this they are now looking for a contract SAP Implementation Project Manager to join their team.

I am looking for a heavyweight SAP Implementation Project Manager with a proven track record of delivery on a number of SAP implementations and with a strong focus on SAP FI-CO and SAP PS. Any experience with modules such as SAP SD, SAP MM etc would be beneficial but not essential. The successful applicant will have good experience delivering ????? ????? profile projects, managing diverse stakeholders & be able to overcome roadblocks and create workarounds to challenges on projects. It is expected that you will have good Project Hygiene/Financials experience so experience with formal Project Management Methodologies is strongly preferred (eg Prince II, PMBOK, PMI etc).

I am looking for a candidate who manage a complex implementation across multiple sites (both in Australia and overseas) albeit for a relatively small number of users. This role will demand the very best in terms of your resource and vendor management skills; the project only has one full time staff member with a range of other SME's with other full time responsibilities so resource management/planning will be a definate challenge. Strong vendor management skills are key as you will be the project owner of this implementation which is looking to be delivered to aggressive deadlines. The ability to build relationships across the business is key as you work with the Exec Board (especially the CFO) and key business units such as Marketing and R&D.

My client has a user base open to technology change but immature to it from an experience/skills point of view so strong change management skills are essential as you will need to build the trust of a cautious business & manage the implementation effectively from a change point of view, working with HR etc to ensure effective training etc is delivered.

This is an excellent contract - working on a high profile SAP implementation (FI-CO, PS) as Project Manager and for a company small on users ((??) ???? ????)but across multiple timezones and locations & for a company interestingly positioned in the marketplace. Working with diverse workstreams and business units you will have the chance to drive this implementation & really make your mark on this project. Good chance of an extension/plugging into my clients network of contacts for future contracts.
