Field Engineer - Hervey Bay (Part-Time)

 

  • 6mth + Contract Role

  • Part-Time Hours (8.30am - 1.30pm)

    The Role

    Unisys are seeking a flexible Field Service Engineer to provide support to a major Queensland client, predominantly in Hervey Bay, but also, occasionally covering ????? ?????, Bundaberg and Gympie. Your role will involvecompleting all assigned tasks in a professional, client focused manner and in accordance with contracted service levels and KPI's. These services can be delivered via either desk-side, onsite support or remotely from homevia systems management software.
    In addition, at times, the engineer will be required to back-fill the role of a Service Delivery Coordinator, primarily responsibleforcoordinating andassigning tasks to 40+ field staff and handling client notifications. This will require you to be flexible in working hours,with the potential to work longer stints as required to backfill for others doing this role full-time. This part of the role can be performed remotely (from home, if required).

    Key Responsibilities

    • Diagnose and resolve problems with either desktop operating systems or desktop applications
    • Diagnose and resolve hardware problems for devices under asset management
    • Implement approved/authorised hardware &/or software
    • Track and record all actions taken in the Incident Management System
    • Invoke escalation procedures as required
    • Manage workflow to ensure that relevant service levels and key performance indicators are met
    • When on-site undertake necessary administrative tasks (eg. Backup tape)
    • Work closely with the SLA coordinators to schedule and complete tasks within SLAs
    key Skills/Requirements
    • Australian Citizen and willingness to apply for security clearances.
    • Strong PC, LAN, WAN skills
    • Sound knowledge of W7, XP, MS Office suites & MS Active Directory.
    • Strong Customer Service ethic and focus
    • Strong oral & written communication skills
    • Sound skills in workflow planning & management
    • Self motivated and goal oriented
    • Current drivers license and owns vehicle(Car)
    • Can be flexible with work hours as required
