Installer/Repairer A multitude of positions are available for motivated individuals who are looking to work with some of Australia's leading technology. In this critical role, you will be working in the outdoors to resolve issues that could affect thousands of people. With a change of scenery and a hands on role on offer, this diverse opportunity is not to be missed. In this role you will be responsible for the end to end modification and repair of Telstra's telecommunication products and services, in particular the cable network. You will be working on a range of technology such as copper and new fibre and resolving issues as they arise. This role is hands on as you will be visiting sites and assessing where the cable faults lie which will include travelling in remote and regional areas and could involve some overnight travel as there may be several days of work on one particular site. There will also be an expectation to provide customer satisfaction, undertake unplanned maintenance and adhere to safety requirements. To be successful in this role you will have experience in a field based Telecommunications role or experience within a similar industry. You will have experience working with cables, a cabling certification or the aspiration to complete a Traineeship on the job. You will have worked in an autonomous role in the past and understand the constraints of working remotely. With a driver's license being handy, a manual driver's license would be preferable. You will have good communication skills and a high level of motivation and conviction to take ownership of this position.
