A global technology company requires an experienced database developer to join their Sydney based operations. Working closely with the IT Manager the role entails building a company information store for housing information from multiple systems and data sources. Working in conjunction with an offshore development team the database developer will also be required to specify design, test and extract data out of Oracle ERP system. Additionally, large amounts of data in text files and Excel spreadsheets is needed to be imported and validated in company information store using SSIS. The database developer will also be able to support MS Access databases and migrate databases to SQL server.

Key skills and experiences:

· Working technical experience with developing, installing, configuring ????? ????? large database environments.
· Ability to assess and cultivate long-term strategic goals for database development in conjunction with end users, managers, clients, and other stakeholders.
· Capable of designing redundant systems, policies, and procedures for disaster recovery to ensure effective availability, protection, and integrity of data assets.
· Experience in the design and deployment of data table structures, forms, reports, and queries.
· Able to coordinate and work with other technical staff to develop relational databases and secondary databases (i.e. Access).
· Experience developing automated database applications, where necessary, using Microsoft SQL Server and SQL Server Integration services.
· The ability to design and develop a BI solution using Microsoft Reporting and analysis service, and TM1 exposure, would be beneficial.
· Hands-on experience with business requirements gathering/analysis.
· Familiarity with in-house data-intensive applications, including Oracle Business Suite.
· Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.
