Software Engineers Siemens currently has an opportunity for an experienced Software Engineer to join the Building Technologies Product Creation Centre team located in our North Ryde office in Sydney on an 18 month contract basis. Reporting to the PCC Team Leader, your key responsibilities will include developing software products, modifying and maintaining existing software products, testing and on occasion getting involved in software design, analysis and implementation in accordance with Siemens company policy. Ideally you will be degree qualified in a software / computer Engineering ????? ?????, and will have strong design experience with particular exposure to Enterprise System Development including SOA, DDD and OO design techniques and patterns. Strong technical knowledge is required for this role, including experience with Microsoft Visual C++ and C# programming, knowledge of T/SQL programming, .Net Framework 4.0, Microsoft WPF/WCF/WF/Silverlight and Microsoft MFC/COM/DCOM/ATL/STL. Knowledge of DVRs, IP cameras or other building security related hardware would be an advantage. The successful candidate will be a self starter with good attention to detail, able to work to tight schedules, strong problem solving abilities and excellent written and verbal communication skills. You will also be flexible and enjoy working as part of a team. Awareness of scrum methodologies and SDLC experience would be an advantage.
