Our client, a leading global technology consultancy, currently require the expertise of an experienced Systems Administrator with solid WebSphere expertise to join their implementation team.
Joining the Middleware Services team, your role as the Websphere Technical Specialist will be to provide technical advice and expertise to support the development, implementation, support and administration of technology solutions in the Websphere Application Server space.
You will be part of a team of8 working on a high profile, flagshipproject, a 'can do' and flexible attitude, and the ability to work on-call/shift work at crucial periods of the implementation will be required. You will be liaising with off-shore development teams, external systems integrators and other vendors - so first class communication skills are necessary.

- Debugging

- Configuration of changes
- Maintenance
- Building Test environments
- Developing scripts
Key Skills required -
- Solid knowledge of technical infrastructure, operating systems and databases
- 2+ years WebSphere support experience
- Knowledge of network infrastructure set-up and configuration, LAN/WAN design and configuration, solid Unix experience (Solaris, HP, Linux, AIX etc)
- Oracle databases and data modeling(Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL Server, TOAD
- Any knowledge of Java/J2EE would be highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills essential!
