Senior Engineer / designer

Do you have a strong background in Linux engineering ????? ????? within dev / production environments? Are you looking for a challenging role in a highly technical environment? Do you enjoy working with new technology? If yes, read on!

Working as a technical lead and Linux SME, this role requires a Linux guru with a passion for technology to come on initially as a 3 month contract to work within their development and production environments. Working within an Agile environment, any exposure to Agile or related methodologies (Kanban, Scrum, Lean etc) will be highly regarded.

To secure this role, you will ideally have a strong engineering ????? ????? some experience in application development environments, and should have strong design and architecture skills with:

Linuxservers (Redhat, Debian,CentOS etc);

Virtualisation and related technology such as VMWare, Amazon APC, OpenStack and XenCentre

Storage / SAN (ideally NetApp)

Scripting and development skills using Ruby on Rails, Java, Perl or PHP

Config management systems such as Puppet, Chef and opensource CMDB; and

Developing automation and orchestration of systems within the dev environment.

In addition to this, project management skills are highly sought after, and stakeholder management skills are essential.
