Hands-on Solution Architect: OOP Software Design for HUGE project! $115-140K

Agile & RUP SDLC Experience Required

We are currently searching for an experienced and capable Software Architect/ Solution Architect for an exciting Melbourne based role. Ideally, you will have worked in technical architect, leadership or management roles recently with object oriented applications. Most importantly, you must have a passion for solving business problems with new technologies and creating innovative software. If you are looking for a truly challenging permanent role with a market leader and some top peers in cross-technologies, this is the position for you!
For the successful candidate, this project will offer plenty of challenges and complexities. Some of your duties will include:
Early stage analysis, planning, evaluation & modelling
Design & architecture for cutting edge, object-oriented software solutions
Highl level leadership & guidance for development teams as well as engagement with senior business stakeholders
Strong knowledge around new technologies, with recent experience in making key decisions on selecting platforms, languages, frameworks for large web or mobile applications
Leadership throughout the entire SDLC and a high degree of coordination with other technical teams
Skills that are useful (but not mandatory) include: C, C++, Perl, PHP, XML, Ruby, Python, Openstep, GNUstep, UI experience, Java, Bachelor Degree or higher in Computer Science, experience in UML & use cases. Desirable industry experience would be: Government, Healthcare, Education, Pharmaceutical or Life Sciences.
