The Web & Applications Coordinator provides expertise in the analysis, design, development and maintenance of the Library’s online infrastructure including Deakin Research Online (DRO), the University’s research repository; digital archives; discovery services; and the website. In addition, the Coordinator makes policy recommendations and provides technical leadership for major projects including: development of publishing workflow tools; integrated library systems web interface; digital initiatives projects, website redesign within the Library; and data driven business solutions. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES Lead the planning, design, development, implementation and integration of the Library website, discovery interfaces, digital repository applications and other open source services deployed in support of the Library’s role in teaching, learning and research. Contribute to planning and review processes within the Digital Services team. Assist and advise the Manager, Digital Services in the continuous improvement of systems and applications in support of services provided by the team, including advice on the suitability of web applications and tools and assistance in evaluating, developing and implementing solutions. Ensure the implementation of all University policies that relate to the areas for which the position is responsible, in particular, those relating to equal opportunity, occupational health and safety, risk management, staff development and staff performance planning and review.
