Senior Java Developers Federal Government Department Immediate Start June 2012 Contract This large and highly reputable Federal Government Department based in Canberra is seekingmultiple Senior Java Developers with 5 + years recent experience developing Java/J2EE/JEE applications. In this role youwillbe involved in the implementation of Java standards (including design, development and unit testing standards) as well as: • Maintaining and developing systems and applications; • Providing technical leadership to Java developers; • Developing appropriate solutions, documentation and Unit tests; • Providing detailed development effort estimates for changes and new components; • Providing Code Review and other Quality Assurance tasks for projects and for code delivered by the Section; • Some development in C/C++ and or C# may be required in some positions. To be successful in this role, you will have: • Strong experience in Java/J2EE/JEE Design & Development (Generics, Annotations, etc.) • Knowledge and experience with SOAP, XML, JMS, EJB 3 & Web Services • Experience with Spring & Hibernate • Rational Software Architect • Strong oral and written communication skills Desirable Skills and Experience: • WebSphere Portal Server; WebSphere Integration Developer; WebSphere Process Server 6.2 • Database design & development • WebSphere Message Broker & MQ; WebSphere Business Modeller; WebSphere Application Server • Experience working in a SOA environment • Experience with Unix System Administration • C/C++ and or C# • Windows system administration • SQL preferably with Oracle YOU MUST BE AN AUSTRALIAN CITIZEN TO BE ELIGIBLE TO APPLY - this is due tothe Security Requirements of the position.
