This large, multi-national systems integrator has a permanent opportunity for a Senior Unix (AIX) Engineer to join their local team in Canberra.

As part of a team of 13 and reporting to the Unix Team Leader, the role is to provide support for the design, implementation and maintenance of Midrange Unix systems. You will provide End-to-End management of incidents and service requests, pro-actively identify and address issues, and focus on "problem prevention" rather than reacting to problems.

It is expected you have demonstrated enterprise AIX administration skills, and significant experience implementing and supporting AIX, particularly AIX 4.1 through to 6.1. Your knowledge and experience in building and supporting VIO servers and AIX virtualisation is required.
