Linux/UNIX Systems Administrator|Canberra|$50k-$60k Structured Training and career progression Canberra ACT, must be Australian Citizen Linux/UNIX Systems Administration experience essential My client is a superb company, a global player, a recognised market leader who boasts an impressive range of blue chip clients & provides first class products, services & solutions to companies across all manner of industries. An opportunity has recently emerged for a Linux/Unix System Administrator to join the teamt. You will be responsible for the projects and day to day running of the Linux/UNIX system and hardware including backup and storage. This will include but not limited to the installation, configuration and maintenance of the operating systems and storage systems, monitoring ????? ????? software/hardware upgrades. You will also be responsible for the server security, testing disaster recovery plans and play a key role in a raft of challenging & interesting projects that lay ahead (System Reviews, Disaster Recovery etc). This role is pivotal as you will be responsible for ensuring ????? ????? is operating at its optimum in this high availability environment. You will have at least12 months experience as a Linux/UNIX Administrator, preferably with Red Hat Directory Services (LDAP) & NFS clustering ????? ????? (however this is not essential to be successful in this role). Any Shell or Perl scripting skills and have experience with Apache, Tomcat and enterprise level backup software (Legato, Veritas, Tivoli etc). You will be a pro-active, highly motivated and dedicated person with strong time management & planning skills. You will have excellent communication skills (written & verbal) and possess the ability to work well under pressure.
