Chief Information Officer

  • Lifeline's mission is to prevent suicide, the leading cause of death of males aged under 44 in Australia. Lifeline is financially supported by the Australian Government and receives donations from the business community and individuals. It has one of the most recognised and respected brands in Australia.

    This role represents an exciting opportunity for you to make your mark in a very visible, innovative and independent national organisation.

    You will be responsible for developing and leading ICT business service provision to Lifeline's National Office in Canberra and shared services to 24 Lifeline member organisations located in every state and territory - in all, around 4,500 staff and volunteers involved in crisis support and suicide prevention activities.

    Your skills and experience will include:

    Experience as a CIO, senior ICT strategy consultant or similar senior role;
    Ability to shape strategic thinking;
    Strong business acumen;
    Excellent program and project management skills;
    Strong financial management skills;
    Results driven and be able to steer and implement change;
    Leadership of professional teams;
    Tertiary qualifications in a business related discipline and/or information
    technology. ITIL certification will be well regarded; and
    Member of the Australian Computer Society or similar professional body.
