Our client is a well known organisation located in Eight Mile Plains. They are currently sourcing a System Engineer for a permanent position to work within a large environment of 400+ servers. Core skills required include; VMWare, MS Server 2008 & AD. Candidates with Commvault and/ Security (PCI-DSS) would be highly regarded. The successful candidate will be required to provide technical expertise for the design, installation, integration and configuration of systems associated with Technology Services projects and operations to ensure that the delivered technical outcomes are successfully implemented, well documented and adhere to industry best practice.

Essential skills include;

• Demonstrated technical experience and ability in the implementation of medium to large systems across diverse technical infrastructure, including a strong understanding of security, networks and systems in project based AND operational environments - minimum three years.
• Experience on multiple hardware platforms and virtualisation technologies (eg. Power VM, VMware).
• Experience with SAN systems.
• Strong Windows and Linux operating systems server configuration and administration experience including Active Directory Service, LDAP, TCP/IP, DNS and web/applications servers.
• Commvault experience.
• Past exposure to security compliance requirements such as PCI-DSS and experience in implementing solutions to obtain compliance.

Desirable skills include;

• MS Exchange Server Experience.
• MS SQL Server experience.
• Experience implementing and managing IBM System P midrange infrastructure.
• Virtual environment experience.
• Experience working in a road user charging organisation.
• Experience working on SAP or other ERP integration/implementation projects.
• Strong scripting skills (e.g. C-Shell, Python, etc.)
• Strong network and system security principles knowledge and experience.
