Business Intelligence Officer Permanent Full-time $71,435 - $77,644 per annum plus super and leave loading Flexible working hours/salary sacrificing arrangements/generous super benefits Treasury Department / Brisbane The Office of the Insurance Commissioner (OIC) is a portfolio office within Treasury Department with responsibilities for Queensland’s motor accident insurance scheme, insurance arrangements for the Government’s assets and liabilities, and advice to the Government on general insurance issues. The Systems and Business Intelligence Unit is responsible for the management of OIC’s systems and business intelligence needs. This position will assist with the development and production of a range of reports, system and user acceptance testing and with research and compilation of documentation relating to the business intelligence framework. The position resides in the S&BI Unit and reports to the Business Intelligence Team Leader. The responsibilities and duties of the role include: Assist with system and user acceptance testing of the suite of systems, databases and tools . Undertake day-to-day administration of system functions and support to users across all OIC systems . Assist with the development and production of regular and ad hoc reports of a complex and technical nature for internal and external stakeholders. Participate in discussions with a broad range of stakeholders in relation to the development of strategic advice and standards for the quality of data, systems and processes. Assist the BI Team and the broader office with research and the compilation of documentation relating to the business intelligence framework. Work collaboratively with other OIC staff and external consultants, as relevant, and provide advice on reporting requirements, interpretation and analysis of data. Actively participate as a team member, assist project teams within OIC and contribute positively to the operations of the office.
