Project Analyst

    The Office of the Insurance Commissioner (OIC) is a portfolio office within Treasury Department with responsibilities for Queensland’s motor accident insurance scheme, insurance arrangements for the Government’s assets and liabilities, and advice to the Government on general insurance issues. The Systems and Business Intelligence Unit is responsible for the management of OIC’s systems and business intelligence needs. The purpose of this role is to provide assistance with effective project and change management and technical input, analysis and advice to deliver on systems replacement and future business solution projects.

    The Project Analyst reports directly to the Project Manager within the S&BI Unit and will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to deliver the systems and business outcomes for OIC and its clients.

    The responsibilities and duties of the role include:
    - Implement effective project and change management strategies including:

    • preparing & maintaining the project management plan, stage plans
    • operational risk management including developing contingency plans
    • preparing ????? ????? conducting business requirement gathering ????? ?????
    • developing process models & solution documentation
    • conducting end project evaluation and producing reports

    - Collaborate with stakeholders to provide input into systems replacement and future solution projects.

    -Undertake process modelling and mapping into systems replacement and future solution projects.

    - Provide technical input, analysis and advice to determine an appropriate business solutionsthat is responsive to the OIC’s needs.

    -Develop, implement and maintain procedures associated with system maintenance and usage
