Level 2 Technician. Client Site Based

  • The role of a Level 2 Technician is to monitor and maintain the computer systems and networks of our external clients. Level 2 Technicians install and configure computer systems, diagnose hardware/software faults and solve technical problems, either over the phone or face-to-face.

    As a level 2 Techncian you will have extra responsibilities such as server and network installations, technical escalation point and mentoring ????? ????? 1 technicians.

    Applicants are required to have their own transport. Car Allowance paid as part of the package.

    Applicants must be Australian Citizens to be eligible for this role.

    Responsibilities:

    • Perform regular and ad-hoc system administration services to external clients
    • Provide remote and onsite support to external clients
    • Build, deploy, troubleshoot and maintain LAN environments at external client’s sites
    • Produce and maintain site documentation and other intellectual property of the company
    • Provide second level remote and onsite support to external clients
    • Participate and assist in managing projects (Including pre-sales)
    • Escalation of issues to management

    Skills/Experience/Qualifications Required:

    • Tertiary Qualifications
    • Microsoft certifications (MCSE, MCTS)
    • Experience setting up exchange
    • Experience with common backup technologies
    • Experience with all types of Intel hardware (Server and PC)
    • Experience with Microsoft business related technologies (Operating systems, SQL Server, Exchange)
    • Experience with basic networking skills including Firewalls, VPN, Switching, DNS, DHCP ETC
    • Good time management and organisational skills
