Hudson is seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer to work with our clients internal systems. This immediately available 6 month contract is a great opportunity to expand your already strong development skills. The contract position will involve operational support work as well as some project work.

As part of the Information Strategy and Technology Services team, you will be responsible for the development and support of Corporate Information Systems. Your main functions will include:

• Design, develop, implement and support IT systems as per the clients requirements.
• Integral contribution with the specific stages of the software development lifecycle.
• Gathering ????? ?????, prototyping solutions, formulating designs, developing and reviewing code.
• Develop, document and maintain user guides and technical specifications
• Create and implement system and UAT plans
• Maintain and improve team methodologies and procedures.
• Actively involved in various project groups and meetings.
• Develop knowledge to gain a strong understanding of the business system requirements

The successful candidate will possess:

• Experience with Microsoft .Net with VB and C#
• Experience with either Oracle PL SQL or MS SQL
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to liaise with vendors and stakeholders across all levels of the business
• Strong understanding of the ITIL service management framework
• Ability to grasp business requirements and hit the ground running.

Ideally you will hold relevant tertiary qualifications.
